| The Michigan India Chamber of Commerce is committed to help with and sponsor initiatives that will make the world a better place. Whether you have a passion to save the environment or whether you want to help educate the poor, or if you just want to support a cause and contribute money towards it, here is an opportunity to do just that. |
We will work with individuals and organizations to help three causes that are near and dear to our heart:
- Eradicate extreme poverty and hunger
- Achieve universal primary education
- Promote gender equality and empower women

These are three of the eight goals set aside by members of the United Nations when they signed the Millennium Declaration on September 8th 2000. Known as the Millennium Development Goals (MDG's), the remaining five MDG's are as follows:
- Reduce child mortality
- Improve maternal health
- Combat HIV/AIDS, malaria and other diseases
- Ensure environmental sustainability
- Develop a global partnership for development

| We'd love to hear from you about projects and community giving/charitable activity that you support. If you wish to solicit support towards any of those activities through the Michigan India Chamber of Commerce, please send details to admin [at] miicc [dot] com. We will review the information and get back to you with our thoughts on how we may be able to help. |
| A minimum of 10% of all revenue collected by the chamber, from membership dues and other programs, will be set aside to help with these initiatives |
| Remember, we will never "have" time to do all the things we want to do. We just have to "make" time. So let's make the world a better place and actively work on initiatives that will help others. |
