Something for my daughter (and me) to worry about! Researchers at Packard Children's Hospital and Medical School have found that Asian Indian women born in the US are more likely than their Mexican-American counter parts to deliver low birth weight infants, despite having fewer risks. One of the best write-ups that I've read in recent times about India is from former Indian President Abdul Kalaam who spoke in NY earlier this week sharing his vision for India in the year 2020. He asked expatriats to give back to the "motherland" and encouraged everyone to "dream big". His vision for India includes removing illiteracy and poverty and creating a nation where the government is responsive and transparent.
